Is a 21.5" mid-2010 iMac 11,2 A1311 too old to buy now? How much is it worth? 3.2 i5, 16GB, 1Tb (x-post /r/Apple)

Hey guys!
I have an early 2014 rMBP fully loaded for work and some day to day, but I am looking for a desktop that I can run run a media server with, and be more of a home computer.
I came across someone selling a:
Mid-2010 iMac 11,2 A1311
3.2 i5
16Gb ram
1Tb hdd
10.10.4 Yosemite
The exterior looks to be flawless as well.
My questions are, Is this machine with all the upgrades done to it, too old to be a good purchase still? What is the right price for it? I've seen similar models with less HDD and RAM going for upwards of $700 on Craigslist... Also, how much longer is this model going to be supported for Updates, or when is it going to start becoming obsolete?
