Hello everyone,
I just purchased this 15-inch MacBook Pro with upgraded storage (to 768GB). I need to install SAS for school work, which is why I want to install Windows (SAS only runs on Windows and Linux). However, my boyfriend is a big Linux fan and thinks I would like Linux also. (He's also the one helping me set all of this up.) Since I don't want to just have Linux (couldn't play my games on Linux, don't want to have to learn a new OS while I'm in the middle of grad school--maybe over winter break) I mentioned possibly having both Linux and Windows.
Currently on my older iMac (I think it's a 2010 or 2011) I am using bootcamp and have windows XP installed. The graphics don't look great but I only boot into Windows to play a few old games that have pretty crappy graphics to begin with so it hasn't bothered me. Obviously since I am getting the retina display I'm hoping for a better picture in general, and I'm not sure how much work I'll need to do to make windows 7 look good on this new machine, but that's a secondary issue.
So, my question: can I have 3 operating systems? (OSX, Windows 7, Linux) And if I do this, will I regret it later?
