Knew my mac pro was on its way out. I had planned on doing some work on it to see if I could get it to run a bit more.

I noticed excessive heat happening with graphic design programs. Time to time it would slow down to a hault but 90% of the time it was "OK" just would take things a bit longer and such.

Battery is crap. I'd get a few hours and then it would just shut down showing 40% or more.

TODAY the screen gets all glitchy after streaming a bit of Hulu, freezes, and then won't do anything. I shut it down, it eventually cooled off. I"ve managed to get the thing to boot partially. It hits a certain point in the status bar and then glitchy screen and freeze.

I'm wondering if I can still refurbish it myself or not. I'll need to buy something new probably, but The trade in on this is pennies.

Can I save it?
