Older messages are GONE after upgrading to iPhone 15 Pro.

I upgraded my phone to iPhone 15 Pro. At first I did a phone-to-phone data transfer. Transfer is successful, but when opening Messages and scrolling down, they stop at 2019. The old phone still has them, going back to 2011.

Then I did a PC backup of the older phone on iTunes and restored that to the new iPhone. Older messages still do not show up. I tested the same backup by restoring it back to the older phone, the older messages are there.

So it appears iPhone 15 will lose your older messages! Messages are set to keep forever on both phones.

Damn, this is no good at all. I had older messages there that I treasured from friends/family who have since passed.
