Post Body

So basically I listen to music thru my iPhone or iPad. Previously I had an iPhone 12 Pro on 16 and the first time I plugged it into my minivan, the phone asked “is this device headphones?” Or something like that. I said no and I noticed that if i changed the volume on my phone with the buttons, the cars volume also changed. It was great. Now, I got a 14 pro max and when I plugged it in, I said yes, that they are headphones. Now, I have to make sure the volume is all the way up on my phone every time so then I can adjust it with the cars volume. How do I change this? It shows the little headphone on the AirPlay thing when it’s plugged in.

I wanted to add that I have searched, but since the words are common in other questions I can’t find what I’m looking for.
