No party or game audio between xbox and playstation?

My boyfriend who's on xbox could not hear any party audio from me and my friend, we are on PS4 and PS5 respectively. My boyfriend did not have any footstep or dialogue audio in game either. Anyone else experiencing this in crossplay? Thanks.
