Valkyrie. That's it. There has never been a legend that is more overpowered than her in her current state in the history of Apex. Season 0 Lifeline, when she had her res shield, faster item usage and extra heals in a slot? Not even close. Seer when he was first released? Valk is more overpowered by a long shot. A very, very, very long shot (as in, a couple of thousand light years).
Her passive? Hilariously overpowered. A player SHOULD NOT be able to fly so bloody far as she can with her jetpack. Her rocket swarm is also incredibly broken. The rockets are incredibly fast and the stun is infuriatingly long (seriously, why do they have to stun almost, if not as long as a wattson fence???????). And her ultimate is literally a mobile jump tower. What's the point of pressing the keyboard/controller when you can just press 'Z', click and cross a quarter of the map in a matter of around half a minute??
After playing one or two matches with her (I morally refuse to play Valkyrie), I can see how unfairly easy her kit is to 'master'. In a sticky situation? Spam the spacebar and hope you don't get gunned down by another level 500 Valkyrie sweat with 863 kills in S11. Enemies healing up behind a door? Spam Q. Enemies running away? Spam jump and Q. Also in a sticky situation? Just press two buttons and boom, any danger that might have been has just disappeared.
The sad part is, Respawn is confirmed to hate some legends (Mirage specifically) and not give the square root of zero when a legend they like is in a state of overpoweredness. For example, Maggie should definitely recieve a buff (as a partial Maggie main, I can confirm this). Her kit, while fun and very powerful and niche in some situations, is too situational to be consistently viable. Her wrecking ball does laughably low damage, and it feels like they straight up removed its stun in S13. The damage should be increased to around 40 (which is what a literal wrecking ball should do) and stun for alot longer. Her drill is mediocre. It's a soft counter to anyone hiding behind a wall (obviously), but still not as strong as it should be. I think it should have 'afterburn' like a thermite (but slightly shorter), and maybe tweak the damage up by 1. Her passive that highlights people when damaging them is useless to the point that even Pathfinder beats her out in terms of a better passive. It lasts for what seems like half a second and your drill blocks an enemy's outline anyway.
Another legend that I think needs some attention is Fuse. Although he has been getting news in terms of skins, he hasn't been changed gameplay wise in a long time. His passive is useful, but since he has a metal arm, he should deal more melee damage when punching. His knuckle cluster is fine in terms of balance, but the Motherlode is very buggy. It rarely goes where you want it to, and the slightest change in terrain can mess up the whole thing. Back to my original point, Respawn almost seem to refuse to properly nerf a legend they like. For example, Wraith never got a proper nerf. A 5% increase in damage bareley affected her and her hitbox increases have had a laughably low effect. And it's the same with Valk. The ONLY, and I mean ONLY nerf she got was that she couldn't freely spin around when taking off with her ult. And no matter how us mere players try to get Respawn to nerf her, they won't, and that's because all the pros love and play her, and they don't want to anger their precious ItzTimmy and ImperialHal (and all the pros, i don't know any of them).
My recommended changes:
- Completely remove her passive and change it out (to something like a double jump)
- Halve her tactical's rocket speed and remove the stun entirely.
- Increase her ultimate's charge speed to 5 minutes (what Lifeline's care package used to be) and reduce the vertical height of the ability by around 15%.
Honestly, Valkyrie was such a wasted character. They could have added Viper instead. If Ash survived being crushed in the hands of a several-hundred-ton death machine, then some dude can survive one shot. (I get that I'm exaggerating this point, but I hate Valk so, so, so much). And even with all the nerfs I listed above, it'd still be a better option to just straight up remove her from the game, due to how unfair it is to fight against a Valkyrie in-game.
(also i just want to point out that she sounds like she's giving birth to a dozen children when she's meleeing people, it's quite amusing)
My suggestion is, to Respawn, is to, hear me out, make Valk users... ahem... HAVE TO USE THEIR BRAIN?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??
Her passive makes her super vulnerable! Anytime a Valk uses her passive to reposition she moves as slow as the moving targets in the firing range! Bow check headhunter here! Headshots depending on what helmet she has on is phenomenal when a valks dumbass hovers in my line of sight.
Nothing wrong with crypto. People just suck with him. I made it to diamond before his buff with him. He has to be played right with a good assault team.
I would say her ult timer needs to significantly increase after each use. That's it.
I absolutely love when a valk uses her jets in a fight! Makes them so easy to drop with the bow. They are basically asking for headshots.
Horizon has the quietest footsteps in the game! At least when I went to firing range and tested every legend... She is the real ninja class lol. Not to mention her reverse rasengan ult. I don't play her but she has an amazing kit.

She's really not OP, her passive makes her move as slow as the moving targets in the firing range. Valks constantly hit themselves with there tactical. I'd say that her ult timer should increase in time with each use.
