Does anyone feel it's harder to find a squad to play with this season?

I used to play season 1 - 3 and almost always had people that I wanted to play with and that wanted to play with me. After picking the game back up last season, I've found it much harder to find teammates. There seem to be less people using mics and less people using the ping system consistently.
Is this just me or has anyone else noticed the difference?
