Ranked Arenas MMR Suggestions

Post Body

The big selling point to ranked arenas was that it was all about winning and that would be how AP was earned. The hidden MMR has now forcibly put you in ranks you can never rank out of so after a few days of playing here are my thoughts.

Give more clarification as to what is calculated. I understand not wanting players to farm damage or time in offensive positions but making it totally unclear is asking me to be a player that I am apparently not with no feedback. Also with more understanding of what my MMR is, I could more efficiently lfg.

Exclude games or at least look at them when I report a player for leaving early. I don’t think I had 4 consecutive matches where both teams had 3 active players. I understand that player staying in the spawn will affect their MMR but it seems to be affecting mine as well.

Have losses count equally to wins instead of wins counting equally to losses. I will tell you playing with a similar skilled person with similar kill sheets and then getting 4x AP is demoralizing. If you don’t think I belong in that rank, even though you put me there lol, penalize me on losses not wins. If you’re right and I catch 4 or 5 in a row, I’ll drop ranks. If what appears to be happening and players are winning more than losing, they can at least make progress.

Use a handicap system to MMR that starts dropping scores after a set amount of games. This would account for joining a group that works well, you learning new skills, and also you being carried by a much better player. 10 or 15 games I think could be a starting place.

Just a few morning ramblings/venting.
