Fairly new to the game, started playing season 8 and I've got about 65 hours in, with a 1.65 kd that I'm not happy with.

Looking to get better, I hear the phrase "drop hot in pubs to get better at gun play" and I assumed that meant just drop whatever the high tier loot zone is on the map, but I was wrong. Sometimes its the right option, other times my squads the only one landing there.

So what's the rule of thumb or trick on picking the hot spot to land? Or is at as simple as jumping immediately?

On another note, looking for some tryhards to play with! If your on steam, drop the friend code or whatever and we can hop in some ranked.
