The changes to the grapple cool down make it so the cool down doesn’t even start until you’ve lost your momentum gained from the grapple. In many cases, this actually results in a longer cool down than before, up to about 10 extra seconds. See this tweet for an explainer video:

But hey, it’s not a nerf for the scrub dev that faceplants all his grapples! Just more lowering the skill ceiling...

This is interesting and may be the new way to play him. If you can consistently get 10-12 second grapples that are actually effective, that’d be really strong. That’s not how I’ve typically used path, and even on my short combat swings I’ll b hop to keep my momentum while being able to shoot to push a cracked shield or whatever, and anytime you keep your momentum is so much worse now.
