9/10 times punching serves no other purpose other than landing on top of an enemy and punching them instead of looking for guns, then 8/10 of those times the puncher dies anyway.
The other 1/10 is punching your own teammates off of ledges.
Punching serves no other purpose than griefing. Make a collectible melee item that gives melee a purpose. You can't grief enemies on spawn and you can't hit teammates, and melee is a decent option during a fight instead of swap or reload
