My entire team had access to Mirage and Caustic?

None of us have bought either character but I'm currently in a game where I am playing Caustic and my teammate is playing Mirage. We had to option to pick them in the character select. Has anyone else come across this? Was this just a really lucky bug?
Edit: We're in another game and we can still pick them.
