Game isn't registering my mic.

Anyone else have this issue? I can hear others but when I press "T" they can't hear me.
Origin registers my mic and I use their call system just fine when playing with a buddy - is there something special I have to do to get AL to "see" my mic?
Push to talk is enabled and T is mapped.
I'm using a turtle beach headset if that makes a difference. Z22, I think?
