Pro Tip: " OH, it's a girl! [Insert question here] " is not the first thing a fem player cares to hear as soon as they speak on mic. Likely it's not something they care to hear at all.

EDIT: Just acknowledging gender is fine, even a question or two is fine... but interrogating someone or focusing on their gender just because they are fem, then being negative when they don't respond as expected, is unwarranted.

It's repetitive, annoying, and even a little bit objectifying because gender has nothing to do with the game and so doesn't need to be a focus of conversation... The very first thing I think about when I hear a player on mic isn't their gender and how I need to get acknowledgement from them because of that gender. This is one reason why many fems don't use mic... people take their gender as a free invitation to expect reciprocation. Some people even get butthurt if they don't get the response they expect.
