Why doesn’t Respawn just implement an ALGS-esque scoring system for Ranked?

ALGS format sees a stagnant number of points awarded per kill, plus exponentially increasing point rewards for placement. Teams in the past have seen success playing both Zone (Moving to end zone and sitting early), Edge (Hunting KP in the early/midgame), and Mixed (a flexible middle ground of the two) playstyles. ALGS is directly connected to & funded by EA, why would they not just copy/paste this system that has worked so well for most major tournaments for their own Ranked mode? Are they stupid?

Scaling entry system based on total points. Ex 1000 points will be 15 entry, but 25000 points gets you 150 entry and so on
