I've only just started playing through the Norman Campaign in AOE4 but I am absolutely loving the way it's done, with the documentary pieces in between so you can learn about the real history of what happened. Even though I'm from the UK, I know very little about this part of history and even less so in the other campaigns. Is that something I can look forward to for the others, or is it just because the Norman campaign is almost like a tutorial?
Ah thanks, I didn't think to look at the reward videos etc. but will definitely have a look. I'm really enjoying them doing it this way, it just adds a really interesting layer. I find myself going to wikipedia after every mission to get more details! Really looking forward to the rest of it. And I get the feeling I'll agree that I wish the campaign was longer because of it!
Yeah that was great, when they animated the battle over the actual landscape as it is today. And don't worry, I have zero interest in MP!
Ah what I mean is, it might well be the same, but that doesn't bother me! But can see why it would be a problem for some.
Ah so like a Skirmish map you mean? Yeah I don't mind doing that against an AI :) Just not another human 😂
Ah MP just isn't for me, I hate the way everyone just plays to win from the very start and you constantly get rushed etc. I like to take my time and build up my base, my armies etc without having to worry about that kind of thing, so I'll stick to SP. MP is far too stressful!
I enjoy it, but can definitely see how someone can get bored of it. The only RTS I can think of that did a great job ox mixing up the level types is SC2. (Granted, I haven't played that many!).
