Im curious to hear how you guys deal with these situations.

1- I had a guy mass long bowman sprinkled with some musks and I have way more crossbow than he had and i still lose the fight. this is simply in age 2 . I've also tried hussars as french and it seems like Im just getting owned. how do you guys counter?

2- Playing a game against Portuguese me as France. Dude massed goons in age 2, thats the first Ive seen that. Anyhow , so i counter with pikes but the goons are so fast that they do this hit and run thing and I end up with no more pikes. :-). So how do you guys counter goons in age 2(commerce age)? I have had something similar happen to me with the dutch and their ryuter I just simply dont see what is fast enough as calvary to counter the goons? I can make musks with put them on mele but the goons just pop off and run .

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
