Where to go after the Art of War Campaigns in AOEII DE?

I'm a complete beginner to AOE2 DE as I recently bought it after trying it out on Gamepass.
I was wondering how I could best prepare for multiplayer matches as a complete novice? I have just completed all the Art of War Campaigns and feel like I understand some of the different mechanics and strategies, but am still a bit slow with Hotkeys and management.
Would it be best to hop into the multiplayer immediately, or complete more single player campaigns to increase my skill level?
