Why are reddit mods complete douchebags on some subs and not on others?

Like I'm trying to post in a sub reddit and the moderator seemed me out as a regular person just so they could remove my post than threaten me, just because I was asking a city if they were interested in a concert Friday. Like do they wake up and gargle with Jack Daniel's thinking of ways to pee in peoples cheerios?
