Post Body

I was wondering if I could get some setting advise. I just picked up the Anycubic Photon Mono X 6Ks and I'm more or less using it to print terrain and minitures for Dungeons and Dragons. The last couple of days I'm been running test prints and want to see if anyone can advise me on settings.

Some of the enviromental elements first - I have the printer in a dark area and the temp has been in the 80s inside that area of the apartment. I haven't turned on the area in that air yet, but I can regulate the temp down to mid-60s. Summer is just starting around me. I'm using the Anycubic Photon Workshop that came with the printer and standard any cubic resin. The mini I'm printing is a Heroforged STL that one of my players made.

The general settings I've set are:

  • Layer Thickness (mm) - 0.020
  • Off Time (s) - 0.50
  • Bottom Exposure Time (s) 20.000
  • Bottom Layers - 5
  • Anti-Alias - 1
  • Z Lift Distance (mm) - 4.000
  • Z Lift Speed (mm) - 2.000
  • Z Retract Speed (mm) - 2.000

I've tried three different Normal Exposure Times - 1.5, 2.5, and 3.5. 2.5 looked the best, but still didn't look like some of the prints I've seen on here. I was hoping the people here would be able to help me to see if I could be doing anything better. I was going to try printing something other than the Heroforged STL - I'm guessing given the generic nature of Heroforged, I'm not going to get a ton of detail out of them.

Thank you in advance for your help.
