About 2 weeks ago we were handed letters at work promising a 12 percent raise for all hourly employees, to help with current economic times as it said in the letter. At first I didn't expect to get one as I had only been with the company about 2 weeks but everyone was personally handed an envelope with our name hand written on the front, and a letter stating the raise. Wasn't for performance or time spent with the company, for economic relief. Now I've turned down 2 other jobs offers based on expecting this raise, but when I got my paystub today no raise at all... Very pissed off, especially cause the drive is a little farther than I'd like but for the difference in pay from what I was offered at the other jobs (witch are much closer to home and my part time teaching job) I would gladly stay at this job that I generally enjoy. But now idk what to do.
