Hey guys I’m in a little bit of a situation. Recently been looking for jobs as I recently moved back home from school for some personal reasons. Now I have 2 options for a job A golf Course is hiring seems like a good place to chill for the summer, however they are looking to do trial shifts to see how I would fit. Now the dilemma is I believe I’m about to be offered a Teller job at a Credit Union, they called me today saying they have a different position open then the one I interviewed for (really the exact same so that’s why I’m still intrigued) and said they would email me today with things like a background check etc. Now if I go into the golf course for a trial shift, I’m worried I won’t be payed for my shift and will be out of luck. ( I have no written proof I was offered the job, they have only called me). Obviously it’s illegal not to be payed for work, but when they didn’t ask for any banking info it kinda lit up a red flag for me. I don’t want to waste my time, but if I don’t get the credit union job I’m SOL at both if I don’t show up to the trial shift today…
What should I do??
