I worked in a liquor store that was being used for money laundering. Owner of the store had 3 stores in total and is the typical douche that thinks he’s untouchable because of the dirt he’s playing in. During the end of my time there the store was in the works of being bought by a private investor, so naturally my coworkers and I started looking for other jobs as a back up just in case the new guys don’t keep us. The current owner of the store went to each of my coworkers and asked them to work in his other stores, offering increase pay as compensation for travel. I was never offered anything and never spoke to the owner, which I was fine with in the end. Come to find out the only reason why the current owner wanted my coworkers to work in his other stores is bc if they did then he would get tax breaks from the state and federal government for those stores due to the fact they are minorities. My question after all this is how do I go about looking for a job and then getting hired knowing that I don’t offer any tax break or tax benefit to any company. I see it as if I don’t offer anything to something as small as a private liquor store then how could I offer anything to a large company
