Kazakhstan government resigned after one day of protests

Post Body

Not sure whether anyone is watching what is going on in Kazakhstan right now, but the government doubled fuel prices. That was the straw that broke the camel's back. In cities all across the country, people hit the streets. They didn't wait for the cops to show up and beat the shit out of them, because they knew how that would end. Instead, they swarmed, overturned police cars, and issued clear demands.

The entire government resigned this morning (except for the president, who is trying very hard to hold onto power by shutting off the Internet and declaring a state of emergency). Seems very likely that they'll have a revolution. And it literally happened overnight.

Illegitimate systems, in which ordinary people have nothing to lose, are a powder keg. One day, they explode.
