I tested positive for COVID-19 over the past weekend, and I am following the CDC recommendation of not working for 5 days. I asked my employer about using sick time, and they told me that they do not offer paid sick leave. They offered me a 'deal' of sorts, saying that they would allow me to use my paid vacation time early. We are not allowed to use our vacation time until we have worked at the company for a year (I have worked here for 9 months). With this 'deal' that they offered me, they said that they would allow me to use up to 40 hours of the PTO I have, but that I would not be able to use PTO for another year after this. Also, to be noted, there is no showing of any paid sick time accrued on my pay stubs. I have looked up the law in Arizona saying that we are required to have time off. What should I do here?
