Hey! So I’m from Australia where our ‘unemployment’ payments are called jobseeker and are available to anyone out of work regardless of their situation.
I’m ever so briefly learning how unemployment works in American and that it’s only available if you get fired from your job and you employer confirms that.
I keep hearing about how employers are denying unemployment and my question is what benefits to businesses get from denying it? Do they need to pay for a percentage of it or are they just being cunts?
