People keep quitting so my work is threatening to assign extra shifts since nobody wants to pick up
Post Body

All of the full time workers at my job have a set schedule. I work overnights on the weekend because I hated the drama that came with working during the week and dealing with management. This past year we have gained and lost a lot of employees. All of the newer employees that I have talked to are completely miserable and we have a lot of contract workers that are refusing to renew their contracts once the current ones end. Because of this, we will be having a lot of shifts opening up soon. Management keeps throwing around that if nobody picks up overtime, then shifts will be assigned and we will be required to work whatever we are assigned to (on top of our normal shifts). I had a chat with HR today and found out that they arenโ€™t allowed to do that. My job can suck it
