After finding this subreddit and seeing the real state the world is in has made me wanna just be my own boss. Only issue is I honestly don't know where to start or how to do anything related to business. I was never good with math or management type stuff, I was more of a bookworm hands on kinda guy.
Since I'm in culinary I wanna either open a restaurant or a food truck using a loan since my credit is really really good. I have friends who're willing to help me and work for me, even volunteer till I can start earning a profit. The location is good given all the construction, factories, etc. But its the business side of things that are just making it difficult to wrap my head around.
I'd ask my dad for help since he started his own construction business before having to quit and do something else but from what he's told me so far it sounds way to much like what Antiwork is trying to stop. So I can't rely on him for help which leaves me with little help at all. I'd use the internet but because I know next to nothing I'm afraid I'll just fall into the trap of reading the wrong info and messing up so badly that I lose everything.
Any tips? Idk if it's right to ask this sorta stuff here but I wasn't sure where else to turn to.
