Everybody knows it. I just struck me today.
I live in Europe.
I have asthma. Not really serious, I won't suffocate, but it can be annoying af.
Today I went to pharmacy to buy inhaler. It usually cost $7.
They didn't have it, but they had a substitute. It costs $1. Basically the same as my usual one.
One dollar. Ask your friend who suck at breathing how much his inhaler costs.
My insurance pays $700, I pay $300. I don't know how the transaction between them works.
The manufacturer only allows 3 per person lifetime, that was used up 5 years ago.
I've tried it, the discount still makes it more than my copay, and my insurance won't pay if I use any discount cards.
It's not Albuterol, that ones covered 100% by my insurance, but thanks
The retail cost is 1000 for one medication, that's from multiple pharmacies.
