Decision made thanks to your help (Update to Fired but they came crawling back)
Post Body

This is a quick update to my previous post

Thanks to all of you for your help. I read each and every one of your comments. You brought up many points that I didn’t consider originally

I didn’t consider that I could end up being made a patsy/scapegoat. I also didn’t include the cost of business insurance. The amount for me to feel comfortable with doing this work was eyewatering. When saying the number outoud, I got even more worried that they might accept it

While it would be fun and quite profitable to take them to cleaners for consulting hours, because of the way I was treated, and because of your input we ultimately decided I would not do any consulting for my former employer

In true Reddit fashion there were two options but you didn’t let that stop you, did ya? Some of you went all “Boaty McBoatface” and suggested I “contact the plaintiffs”. Well I totally didn’t expect that. My attorney thinks that is a crazy but very funny idea and will be reaching out to the plaintiff’s attorneys

Thank you Reddit. You are amazing.
