Medical Situation Guidance
Post Body

This may be the wrong place for this, but everyone is very knowledgeable so I figured I’d ask. Long story short:

Been on a special medication for a few months, dosage change error on the doctors part has given me bad adverse side effects, mostly vomiting multiple times a day and being unable to eat full meals. This is all being taken care of with my primary doctor and we’re hoping this stops soon, but nonetheless I have not been able to work due to the constant sickness for 2.5 weeks (I’ve lost some weight due to this as well).

My workplace is keenly aware of the situation, I work in state government so I have a small team to report to rather than a large group. I have a doctors note, my supervisor has been kept informed throughout this, and I’ve been working with my doctor to actively work through the issue. I’m afraid that I may have to continue being off work for another week, if not longer if it doesn’t stop.

Half of me is focused solely on getting back to normal health. The other is freaking out internally due to the job security I’m trying to maintain. My dad keeps telling me that they’ll fire me for this if it keeps going on.

I need advice, hints, direction, or guidance for this situation. Medically it is being handled the best and quickest it can.
