Tipping for Staff Meals
Post Body

At my restaurant tonight, I asked one of the kitchen staff if they tip for their staff meals; to which he responded, “ofc, always 20%”.. I literally laughed and was about to explain why that was ridiculous until another server butted in and said “GOOD JOB ZACH, THATS THE RIGHT ANswer”

Literally all I could do was laugh and walk away. Not only would she of course have that opinion, as servers make the biggest cut from the tips. Second of all, as a kitchen member he just tipped all the staff to make his own meal, and THIRD it’s a goddamn staff meal he had to pay for.

I just think it’s so funny when workers feel high and mighty because they have become the most perfect and mouldable little slaves for their company, and shame other workers for not having the same “loyalty”…

Anyways, you will never catch me tipping the restaurant I work in for a goddamn staff meal, that is honestly just insane. The fact I even felt like I had to argue for this position kinda made me want to yell at that server for her greedy and deluded opinion..
