About 2 months ago my boss asked me to volunteer for additional tasks that would essentially end my work from work from home status. I was open to the new role if it came with a raise. My boss said absolutely not and seemed genuinely offended by the request.
A few weeks later I applied for a position directly with the client. I was hired and received a substantial pay increase.
My new employer has cut the job assignment to my old employer. The loss in revenue will exceed a million dollars. I probably would have took the new role with my old employer for 5k. I really can't even imagine fucking something up that bad.
