I know there are men out there who don't watch porn and find it to be a terrible thing. However, when they talk about why porn is bad, I rarely see them care about the negative impact on women in society? All I see is how porn is bad because it affected them personally and while those are valid reasons to be against porn, I think that viewpoint is myopic. Not being able to see the bigger picture that porn is, like one other poster said, "the worst thing to happen to women", makes me wary of them.
I feel kind of hopeless when it comes to finding a bf. My best friend was able to find a guy who is against porn and was quite oblivious to its widespread availability. This gives me hope but when I go on dating apps (ew) I often forget that the vast majority of these guys are not only big consumers of porn, but staunch defenders of it and would never give up pixels on a screen for the chance to be with an actual woman. It's depressing.
A guy once told me he had never been with an "ebony" before...it was so disgusting and degrading to be referred to by that pornbrained term. I hope that I can find a loving relationship with a nice, normal guy like my friend did but I'm just venting about how hard it is. I wish porn never existed :/
