I had my tubes tied a year ago now, without having any children. Now everyone I talk to about antinatalism takes me seriously, finally. There has been a downside though. I have been harassed on dates, called selfish, all kinds of mean things that just aren't true. I don't know if anyone else is experiencing such a backlash for their antinatalist views, but I just wanted to say what seems to shut these naysaying narcissist wannabes up. Anytime i am criticized unfairly for my beliefs, I say very calmly with lots of love, "I love my future kids so much, I chose to spare them the suffering this world will inevitably bring them." This phrase works so well for those who have had abortions as well. And if that doesn't feel genuine, a nice birdie might do the trick. ;)
