Been on Zoloft 75mg for months, decided to add Wellbutrin to possibly enhance mood, focus, motivation and be less depressed. Went up to 300mg xl in Wellbutrin and gained no benefits and depression and anxiety got worse, my fatigue got worse as well. Currently tapering off Wellbutrin and last dose is in a week.
I’m Very disappointed that I didn’t get any positive benefits from Wellbutrin, because the Zoloft has been helping me a lot I still had occasional tiredness. I asked my doctor about prescribing me adderall to take as needed and we’re still weighing our options regarding it because I might not have ADHD, since I can focus when needed, passed highschool and gained a associates degree and can function in day to day life. I told him that I’m only considering adderall because I would love to have a boost once in a while when studying or if I’m having a low day. He definitely understands that I’m not trying to abuse medication because I’ve been very against taking meds in general.
So is there any alternatives to adderall? Do I even need it? Is there a Prescription or over the counter medication/supplement that can do better?
