I (33f) Just got my brain scans back from Amen Clinic (highly recommend but costly). Turns out my frontal lobe indicated that SSRI would do NOTHING. I have been on and off so many since I was 16. She indicated that a mood stabilizer was going to help! Just started my Lamictal journey. Just wanted to share in case others weren’t having any luck with SSRIs!
My diagnosis from brain scan: Head trauma (brain is flat in front and back from a gnarly car accident when I was 16). PTSD major depressive disorder Temporal add
I also have PMDD and getting hormone testing!
