I've been on Lexapro for the past 5 years,10 mg daily, to help with my depression and anxiety. First week was horrible and I almost killed myself but then I slowly started feeling better and after a month the results were amazing. I had little to no anxiety and my energy and motivation climbed to a level where I could do daily activities again and feel satisfied with what I did. Now 5 years later I'm noticing some things going bad again, I am depressed, feel anxious again and have no motivation or energy to get out of bed. My doctor said that I should try Cymbalta 60 mg and switch immediately. I've seen many horror stories online about the bad experiences and am aware of the withdrawal symptoms. maybe the side effects in the first weeks won't be so bad cuz I'm already used to Lexapro? Should I switch to Cymbalta, or should I try another type of medication. Besides my depression and anxiety I have adhd, cptsd and a nightmare disorder.
