Today it’s actually an old friend that I haven’t spoken to in FOUR years. Should’ve know it was something suspicious as right the second message was asking me if I want to hear about some new business opportunity. I don’t but I agreed because I’m noisy and wanted to know which mlm it is.

I have even watched the video so I could provide exact points. It’s got all the signs of mlm: - expensive membership with various levels - all the ranks including stereotypical sapphire, and diamond - comparing mlm to big actual companies like amazon and uber - you would want to be at the start of that right? eyeroll - and a binary way of explaining the pyramid

I’ve really tried to explain to this guy how harmful mlms are... and he insists it’s not a pyramid scheme. Not even mentioning that now it isn’t really the time to invest into the travel industry even if it was legit.

This is so sad. Many people are feeling insecure at the moment and these companies are praying on them when they are the most vulnerable.
