I'm already irritated with the MLM presence at holiday fairs. I plan to go shop at a big one early next month, and the organizers are starting to list their vendors on the book of faces. There are some wonderful real crafters and small business owners signed up, but so far they also have Avon, Thirty-One, Rodan and Fields, and Mary Kay. On the event page, there was another MK consultant asking for a spot and they denied it, saying they already had a rep. So I guess they at least are limiting it to one person per MLM.
But still, it's so frustrating. Supposedly they will have over 120 vendors and now I wonder how many will be MLMs :( I just want some cute holiday stuff and to buy some presents, not look at overpriced garbage. And being a working mom who will likely have her child in tow when I go, I'm afraid of how many recruitment attempts I'll hear. Joke's on them though, I LIKE my office scheme job.
