This goes back to 2018 when I was struggling to find a career, not just a job. I had a job but i wanted a career where i can work and retire but my friend was struggling to find/keep a job (probably still struggling to this day). So in 2019, I finally got a career i really wanted and started working, around same time he said he found a career where he can work from his car and make 6 figures. So i was happy for him but then he invited me to his seminar and introduced me to his mentors and team members (I had no idea what this was back then). For whatever reason, i didnt feel comfortable. They came out hard asking me to invest on certain products and pay for some class to make money. I declined saying Im not good at those and Im pretty content with what im making. After i told them that, they looked at me as if im some sort of pest but then all of sudden their attitude changed once my friend told them what i do for living (some of them got my contact number through my friend and started texting me out of nowhere trying to convince me to join them). I still declined them all and i thought i was still in good relationship with him but no, his personality completely changed and all of his other friends started staying away from him. I thought maybe we are getting older and our interest has changed. All of sudden he started "hanging around with his new friends" from Amway and they didnt look too close to each other. All they talked about was who they were gonna recruit and how they were gonna sell items (all of them betrayed each other at the end). So until now i havent really given any thought about it till i came to this sub and started piecing the puzzle from my experience.
