Question About MLM Parties

Post Body

I know a lot of different MLM people, mostly moms who wanna stay home with their kids instead of work, which I totally get. Iā€™m fortunate enough to do that right now, actually. But I know a lot of people who still need a second income to make ends meet. So thatā€™s where my question comes from.

A friend shared that she needs $150 in Pampered Chef sales by the end of the month to ā€œkeep her career sales,ā€ which I have no clue what that means. Anyone know how that works? She also said she needs to pay for the Pampered Chef party link website. I didnā€™t know that was a thing.

So for people who know, do MLMs require their people to pay just to host a virtual party? It sounds like PC does. Do others? And if youā€™re experienced with this, what does it cost?

It makes me wonder how people continue justifying this when it costs them so much. I admit I was a Young Living hun for a year. I just never hosted any parties. I wanted discounts and used the wholesale price for discounts more than I actually sold anything until I decided to check more legit sources for my aromatherapy. (Plus I got concerned with how frequently my upline pushed the whole ā€œeat/drink/take oils orally to fix/medicate x, y, or z issueā€.)
