Does anyone know the title of the book/story involving a human eating island?
Post Body

I read it awhile back and I just randomly remembered about it. The story involves an older gentlemen ending up on an island where every night he has to sleep on a tree (as do rodent-esque creatures, I think they were groundhogs) or the island would eat him/them. He peeled open what he thought was a fruit (or a bunch of leaves) and found teeth. I also remember he was on a boat with a tiger?? It has intrigued me and I hope to re-read it! Sorry if it's a little much to ask

thanks!
