Are all websites that send automated emails required by anybody to have an unsubscribe option?

I was just unsubscribing from a website's emails and idk im curious now. like could i ever sign up for emails that i cant unsubscribe from? i mean i guess in that case i could just direct the emails from the website to the trash or whatever, but that's aside from the point.
