Hello Reddit, I lost my smell back around January (1-7) 2022, I thought this was normal because I did catch covid, I have got better ever since but it has been nearly 3 months and I have no ability to smell. A quick google search says it usually comes back in 21.6 days but it has been well over 21.6 days.
Now the smell isn’t what I am worried about too much but just yesterday March 19, 2022 I lost my ability to taste, like instantly. This really sucks because I am losing appetite and not eating normally anymore. Anything and everything i eat has this very bad rotten taste even if its a sugar food or salty food. All taste the same rotten.
I haven’t went to the doctors yet because I thought it would go away soon but its just taking a lot longer than i think it should. I drink a good amount of water to stay hydrated, Sometimes I vape 5% nicotine, I used to a lot back then but its lower now, could this be a problem? Or if anything you guys know of that I can do to at least get my taste back.
