Hey y'all. I had a follow up with the rheumatologist last week, and so far there is no conclusion. I had been referred because of reoccurring Episcleritis, positive ANA, high CRP and ESR, and joint pain. After my first visit with the rheumatologist, they did xrays and blood work, and my inflammation tests were actually normal now, which is good but also annoying because I don't know what that means? And my xrays just showed "Mild osteoarthritis" in my SI joints. And the only blood test of note was that my HLA-B27 was positive.
At my follow up, they said they wanted to do an MRI of my SI joints; I don't know if she believes they made a mistake or just wants to be thorough. It seems the rheumatologist suspects Spondyloarthritis, and I can't say I disagree. I'm currently waiting for them to call and schedule an MRI, but I'm pretty anxious. The majority of my pain is in my SI joints and my lower and mid back. My eye situation tends to flare up when I forget to take my anti-inflammatory. I also sometimes have jaw pain and rib pain.
I know I can't do anything but wait, but I was wondering what path I should take if my MRI turns out normal. I'm only 36, so I wouldn't expect osteoarthritis to rear it's head already, but what do I know?
