I broke down and filed SSI
Post Body

So I finally broke down and filed for disability. I'm not sure how I feel about it, but I needed the funds for travel expenses to doctor appointments anyway. My first interview yesterday was just basic questions and to see if I even qualified for benefits. Now I'm worried that I'll be denied, even though I have 2 years of medical documents supporting my pain and neurological issues. Im also worried that the doctors I've seen will make a statement that denies my application. Social security called while I was in surgery for my gall bladder, so I called them back and explained I was in surgery and Im returning a missed call. They acted like they didn't want to look in their system for calls. So... I guess I'll wait and see what happens. I was told it could take 5 months to a year before I hear back from them.
