Most of what I read says if your pain is worse after movement it is likely mechanical, and if your pain is worse after not moving it is likely spondyloarthritis. I have pain when getting up from sleeping, sitting, or driving. It only lasts for a second as I stand up and straighten my spine. This seems like arthritic pain. Then I have this other pain that get worse and worse the more I use my back. I just finished 3 months of short term disability off from work. After 1 day back at work my back is in agony. I am an electrician, I spend 8 hours on my feet, also bending to the floor often, and some medium lifting of objects. Now the following day I have pain all over my back and my arthritic pain is much worse also. Is this typical of ankylosingspondylitis? Everything I read says I should be better with movement and worse with sitting all day.
