Would a Sharingan be able to resist Geass?

In the Naruto Universe, having a Sharingan makes one have a higher resistance to genjutsu, and the higher the level your Sharingan (1 tomoe, 2 tomoe, 3 tomoe, Mangekyo, Rinnegan, Tomoe Rinnegan, RinneSharingan) the higher your resistance to genjutsu. My question is do you think this resistance to genjutsu, or to ocular techniques in general, would apply to Geass, and could a Sharingan user resist Geass?
